The present rates of disability retired pay generally were fixed in accordance with the recommendations of the Select Committee on Pensions and are, by the provisions of the Royal Warrant, subject to re-adjustment in 1923 in accordance with the rise or fall in the cost of living. Retired pay where drawn concurrently with a wound pension, at the rate and subject to the conditions authorised by the Pay and Pension Warrant, 1914, is preserved by the provisions of the Royal Warrant of the 2nd July, 1920, as an irreducible minimum. I am sending my hon. Friend a copy of this warrant, and I would invite his attention to Article 30A and the Fourth Schedule.
I was asked for certain information, and I have answered the original question. The hon. and gallant Gentleman's question raises another point. Perhaps be will put down a question.
