Something short of 120 trades or branches of trades have communicated with the Board since the coming into force of Part: II of the Act in August, 1921, but the majority of these have not progressed beyond the stage of inquiry with a view to formulating complaints. Of those which have so progressed, 45 related to goods manufactured in Germany, and of these 13 were referred to Committees; in 29 cases complainants failed to establish a prima facie case, or withdrew the complaints or have been asked to furnish further information: and three are at present under consideration.
