asked the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what companies or what financiers control the Anatolian railways?

The Anatolian railways are not at present under any company control. A small section of line from the Haidar-Pasha terminus is controlled by the Inter-Allied Military Commission of Railway Control at Constantinople, the remainder being in the possession of the Kemalists or Greeks.
