asked the President of the Board of Education whether he will consult the teachers' organisations with a view to eliciting suggestions from them as to possible economies in the educational services?

My right hon. Friend will be glad to consider any suggestions which the responsible organisations of teachers may desire to put forward, and, if occasion offer, he will not be backward in consulting them himself.
