asked the Secretary of State for India whether any action has been taken as a result of the Report of the Committee on inquiry into the death of 64 Moplah prisoners by suffocation in a railway van of 19th November last; if so, what persons have been punished and in what manner; and whether this type of railway van is still being used for the transport of prisoners in India?
