To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, whether he has discussed the future of the Common Fisheries Policy as part of the negotiations on the terms of the UK's membership of the EU.

The Prime Minister, my right hon. Friend the Member for Witney (Mr Cameron), has set out the four areas where we seek to address the concerns of the British public: sovereignty, fairness, competitiveness and immigration. The Government has welcomed reform of the Common Fisheries Policy, as an example of power being passed back to Member States where it can more effectively be exercised.
