To ask the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, with reference to the press release published by his Department on 8 January 2014, customer communications at heart of review into dealing with widespread power cuts, when he plans that the emergency telephone number which households can call if they experience a power cut will be operational.

The Energy Networks Association leads on the establishment of a Single Emergency Number (SEN) for use during a power cut. The project is due for completion in April 2016.
