Foreign and Commonwealth Office written question – answered at on 15 October 2014.
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what personnel and frontline fighter aircraft from Middle Eastern States will participate in the coalition against ISIL.
Iraqi forces, including the Peshmerga, are key parts of the fight against Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), as is the Syrian moderate opposition. Aircraft from Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have been involved in airstrikes against the terrorist group in Syria. Other states in the region are also providing humanitarian, logistical and other support to international efforts to degrade and ultimately defeat ISIL.
