To ask the Secretary of State for Health what steps he is taking to ensure that no restrictions will be placed on access to cancer medicines that are currently available under the cancer drugs fund when the NHS Commissioning Board takes over the management of that fund in 2013.

From April 2013, the NHS Commissioning Board will take on oversight of the Cancer Drugs Fund. Access to specific cancer drugs through the fund will continue to be based on the principle of clinically-led decision making that has guided the fund since it was created.
