To ask Her Majesty's Government what was (1) the tonnage, and (2) the monetary value, of cheese imported from the Republic of Ireland into the United Kingdom in each of the last three years.

The monetary value (in £ million) and quantity (in 1000 kg) of cheese imported from the Irish Republic into the United Kingdom during 2009-11 is given in table 1 below. The figures are sourced from Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (FIMRC)'s Overseas Trade Statistics database.
