International Development written question – answered at on 20 December 2012.
To ask the Secretary of State for International Development whether the removal of trade barriers facing exports from the poorest countries to the markets of developed countries will be included in the agenda for the G8 in 2013.
The UK will use its G8 presidency to make the case for further trade liberalisation across the world. We will continue to play a leading role in helping the poorest countries integrate into the global economy. The UK will continue to urge both developed and emerging economies to provide the poorest countries full access to their markets, as the EU already does.
