Business, Innovation and Skills written question – answered at on 18 December 2012.
To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills what representations he has received on the draft Communications Data Bill; and if he will make a statement.
To the best of my knowledge the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, my right hon. Friend Vince Cable, has received one formal representation on the draft Bill. The Secretary of State discusses a wide range of issues regularly with colleagues in the House. The Home Office is the lead Department for the draft Communications Data Bill and we are aware that businesses have made representations directly to it about their concerns.
