To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills how many civil servants his Department has recruited in each month since 2010; what the cost to the public purse was of such recruitment in each year since 2010; and if he will make a statement.
The number and cost of new entrants to the civil service recruited by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills since May 2010 when the civil service recruitment freeze was implemented is given in the following tables. The tables also includes all leavers from the Department.
