Attorney-General written question – answered at on 17 December 2012.
To ask the Attorney-General if he will recommend that appeals by the Plymouth Brethren be heard in the Upper Tribunal.
I have considered joining as a party to the current appeals to the Charity Tribunal relating to the registration of Brethren meeting halls. I have decided that, at this stage, it is not necessary for me to do so. The appropriate forum for the appeal is therefore a question for the tribunal. I will be keeping my position under review as the case progresses.
