Drugs: Imports
Home Department

Anne McGuire (Stirling, Labour)
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department pursuant to the answer of 26 October 2012, Official Report, column 1082W, on drugs: imports, whether any of the cancelled applications were cancelled despite the applicant companies having already been granted import licences for oxycodone; and for what reasons in each case.

Jeremy Browne (Taunton Deane, Liberal Democrat)
Of the 37 cancelled applications, 22 were from companies previously granted Oxycodone import licences. Reasons for these cancellations included (i) the application did not fit with the interim oxycodone policy, (ii) withdrawal at the request of the company, or (iii) errors in completion.
