There is no requirement for the Government to re-examine the decision to restructure HM Coastguard in light of recent adverse winter weather. The restructure does not directly affect the delivery of front line Search and Rescue (SAR) response by the Coastguard Rescue Service, Royal National Lifeboat Institution, Independent Lifeboat Organisations and the SAR Helicopters provided by the Ministry of Defence and the Maritime and Coastguard Agency.
