To ask the Secretary of State for Education if he will take steps to ensure that secondary school leaders and senior managers recognise the value of, and support the provision of, high-quality fieldwork in (a) geography, (b) science and (c) other practical subjects.
The Government recognises the positive contribution that fieldwork can make to the study of geography, science and other practical subjects. However, it is for individual schools to determine how they should use such experiences to enhance the teaching of these subjects.
