To ask the Secretary of State for Justice how many victims of crime had their award under the Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme reduced because of failure to report to the police or other appropriate body or person in each year since 2009-10.

Such awards are so rare because there is unlikely to be any independent evidence about the incident giving rise to a claim if the applicant did not report it to anyone. These two cases therefore represent very unusual circumstances.
