Bovine Tuberculosis: Disease Control
Environment Food and Rural Affairs

Richard Drax (South Dorset, Conservative)
To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs what his policy is on continuation of the proposed cull of badgers.

David Heath (Somerton and Frome, Liberal Democrat)
I remain committed to taking forward this evidence-based policy, as part of a wider programme for eradication of bovine TB in England. The Government and NFU will now continue to plan so that the pilots can go ahead in summer 2013.

so, regardless of the science based information that a cull will not work, the huge wave of public opinion and a vote in the house against the cull and a request for a vaccination programme to be substituted for it, this government goes blindly on with its plans.
What hope do we have? Isn't a government who does not represent the people called a 'dictatorship'.
