There is not a known drug called oxycodeine; however oxycodone is an opoid analgesic. A total of 122 import authorisations were approved for shipments of oxycodone between 1 December 2011 and 30 April 2012. All licences were issued in accordance with published interim policy, including a proportion for ‘parallel import' purposes. Only companies previously granted licences for this purpose were issued further import authorisations during this period, and 37 licence applications were cancelled.
