Home Department written question – answered at on 23 October 2012.
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many foreign national offenders from the EU have been subject to a deportation order in each of the last five years.
The number of foreign national offenders (FNOs) from the European Economic Area (EEA) who have been removed in each of the last five years is:
In 2007: 504
In 2008: 647
In 2009: 774
In 2010: 908
In 2011: 1,148
The UK Border Agency is unable to provide the information requested because the number of FNOs from the EEA who are subject to a deportation order is not routinely recorded on an annual basis.
This is internal management information and is subject to change.
