To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many ambulance trusts did not achieve the category A8 standard in each of the last five years.

The A8 target for ambulances states that 75% of Category A (immediately life-threatening) calls should receive a response within eight minutes.
The number of ambulance trusts which did not achieve the A8 standard in each of the last five years is shown in the following table:
