To ask the Secretary of State for Health what the duties are of special advisers working in his Department.

As set out in the Constitutional Reform and Governance Act 2010, the role of special advisers is to assist a Minister of the Crown. Specifically in health this will be to advise on health and social care policy or media and communications depending on the role to which they are appointed.
