Home Department written question – answered at on 3 September 2012.
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department when she expects to resolve the cases of individuals reported by Sir John Vine who may or may not have left the UK after visa extensions have been refused.
All the cases identified by Mr John Vine have been refused leave to remain in the UK. They are expected to leave the UK. We will appoint a contractor in September to contact all the people concerned and establish their plans for leaving if they have not already done so. These contacts will be complete by April 2013.
