EU: State Aid Modernisation

To ask Her Majesty's Government whether they will be holding a formal public consultation on the United Kingdom's priorities for the European Union state aid modernisation review.

We do not intend to hold a formal public consultation. We shall however, consult widely on an informal basis. This will include all levels of government and industry bodies.
The European Commission will also hold full public consultations on all proposed revisions to frameworks and guidelines. There will therefore be plenty of opportunity for interested parties to have their points included in Commission consideration of future policy.
