Firearms: Licensing

To ask Her Majesty's Government whether guidance issued by HM Treasury on calculating fees charged for firearms and explosives licences is mandatory or advisory for the Northern Ireland Executive; and whether advice has recently been sought by, or provided to, the Northern Ireland Executive on that guidance.

The issuing of licences in respect of firearms and explosives are functions that are exercised by the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) and the Department of Justice (DoJ). The noble Earl may therefore wish to direct his question to the PSNI and DoJ.
