The Department does not record this information. However, the International Passenger Survey, conducted by the Office for National Statistics, reports that the average spend per night by Japanese tourist visitors in 2011 was £109.

We have defined Japanese tourists as Japanese residents visiting the UK on holiday. This does not include Japanese residents visiting friends/relatives, on business or studying.
