To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if she will publish a timetable for the Tramtrain pilot project in Sheffield; when she plans the service will be operating; what the end date of the evaluation is; and how consideration will be given, if the pilot is successful, to rolling it out on other routes.

The pilot service is planned to commence in 2015 and evaluation will take place after two years. The learning experiences from the pilot will be documented and shared with other promoters considering tram train schemes in their areas.
