To ask Her Majesty's Government what discussions they have had with the Charity Commission about ensuring it has the resources it needs to monitor the activities of charities robustly.

As an independent non-ministerial government department, the Charity Commission negotiates its own settlement direct with HM Treasury. The Charity Commission has adopted a strategic plan for 2012-15, following a wide-ranging consultation, and is confident that it will continue to be an effective and efficient regulator within the resources available.
