The Secretary of State for Health, my right hon. Friend Mr Lansley, has not had any recent discussions on this topic. The Department does not maintain a position on such therapies. It is the responsibility of local national health service organisations to make decisions on such treatments, taking account of safety, clinical and cost-effectiveness and the availability of suitable practitioners.
