The Department wrote off £90,000 in 2010-11. This relates to energy efficiency loans made to small and medium sized entities who were unable to repay their debts. The impairment was disclosed on page 117 of DECC annual report and accounts in 2010-11 which can be found at the following link:
The Department's 2011-12 year end position is not yet finalised. The annual report and accounts to be published July 2012 will contain details of the amounts written off during 2011-12.
