To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what steps his Department took to reduce its carbon emissions in (a) 2010, (b) 2011 and (c) 2012.

A wide range of measures have been taken in order to achieve significant CO2 emissions savings in the Scotland Office. These included ensuring central heating is switched off, as well as electrical appliances, when rooms are vacated (2010), the installation of a more energy efficient gas boiler (2011) and Point of Use heaters for hot tap water (2012).
