Fiona Mactaggart (Slough, Labour)
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what target time her Department has set for the time taken between promulgation of an entry clearance appeal determination when the appellant is successful and the issuing of entry clearance to the appellant.

Damian Green (Minister of State (Immigration), Home Office; Ashford, Conservative)
The UK Border Agency aims to establish whether an appeal should be contested within five working days from a decision being promulgated.
Appeals that are not contested are referred back to the relevant Visa Section, which aims to issue any relevant entry clearance within eight weeks of receiving the referral. Time scales can be affected by the standard of the postal, telephone and e-mail services in some locations in which International Group operates.
