To ask the Secretary of State for International Development how many journeys (a) Ministers and (b) officials in his Department made by (i) train, (ii) coach and (iii) Government car in an official capacity in each of the last six months.

In the six-month period ending March 2012 there have been 1,751 train journeys within the UK and Europe, 11 of which were by Ministers. Details of coach and car journeys cannot be provided without incurring disproportionate costs.
