No. The Post Office Local model will contribute substantially to the long-term sustainability of the post office network. Any moves to this model by sub-postmasters will be voluntary. Post Office Ltd has a code of practice agreed with Consumer Focus covering the local public consultation and communication processes that are undertaken when there are changes to the branches in the network. Independent research undertaken on behalf of Post Office Ltd has found satisfaction levels at both Local and Main pilot branches well in excess of 90%.
