To ask the Secretary of State for International Development what steps he plans to take to promote relationships between schools in the UK and developing countries following the closure of the Global Schools Partnership Scheme.

The DFID funded Global School Partnerships Programme (GSP) awarded final grants to schools in March 2012, but will continue to provide support and advice to schools that have been awarded grants until March 2013.
DFID and the British Council will continue to support school linking through a new scheme, which will launch in June this year.
