To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether she plans to bring forward proposals to amend the provisions in Part III of the Police Act 1997 that allow the police to remotely access personal computers without the owner's consent.
As part of the UK's Cyber Security Strategy, published in November 2011, the Government are reviewing existing legislation to ensure that it remains relevant and effective.
