To ask the Deputy Prime Minister what representations he has had from (a) charities and (b) trade unions about the consultation on a statutory register of lobbyists.

The Government published initial proposals on establishing a statutory register of lobbyists in a consultation document on 20 January. Following the end of the consultation period on 13 April, the Government will carefully consider all representations received and publish their response to the consultation. It would not be appropriate to comment on representations received to date in advance of this.
