The Government are currently consulting on proposals for a number of changes to the feed-in tariffs (FITs) scheme, including a contingent degression mechanism and options for how community installations might be defined and treated. These proposals do not currently include an under-deployment mechanism or a specific community energy tariff (though it seeks views on the latter), so no assessment has been made of the potential effects of such mechanisms.
