The National Security Council (NSC) is co-ordinating HMG's response to unfolding events in Syria. The NSC, chaired by the Prime Minister, has discussed the situation in Syria and the collective HMG policy response on a number of occasions, most recently at its meeting on 28 February. The Foreign Office, the Department for International Development and other relevant government departments are represented on the NSC.
