To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government what assessment his Department has made of the level of social rented housing provision in the West Midlands; and if he will make a statement.

Figures on dwelling stock in English districts for the years 2009, 2010 and 2011 are available in live table 100, which is published on the Department for Communities and Local government's website at the following link. This gives a breakdown of dwelling stock by tenure including local authority, housing association and other public sector dwellings.
