To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills how many small businesses have been helped under his Enterprise Finance Guarantee scheme in the latest period for which figures are available.

As of February 2012, 17,339 small and medium-sized businesses had been offered loans under the Enterprise Finance Guarantee scheme. The total value of these loans is £1.76 billion. Not all of these loans offers have been drawn down by the companies that have been offered them. The total number of drawn down loans is 15,168 loans, valued at £1.52 bil1ion.
