The Department for Work and Pensions did not sign up to the 10:10 initiative. However, it exceeded the target set by the Prime Minister on 14 May 2010 for Central Government Departments to cut carbon emissions from energy usage by 10% in 12 months, delivering a 14.2% reduction between May 2010 and May 2011.
