To ask Her Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of the percentage of civil servants employed by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills who take time off work each year through smoking-related illnesses.

No assessment has been made of the percentage of civil servants employed by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) who take time off work each year through smoking-related illnesses. The categories used to group sickness absence data do not allow for the production of such data.
