To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether any element of the Northern Ireland block grant is hypothecated for further and higher education in Northern Ireland.

No elements of the Northern Ireland block grants are hypothecated. Once overall public expenditure budgets have been determined, the devolved Administrations have freedom to make their own spending decisions on devolved programmes within their overall totals.
