Transport written question – answered at on 1 March 2012.
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what assessment she has made of the potential effects on maritime safety of a turnaround cruise facility at Liverpool.

The provisions of the Port Marine Safety Code, merchant shipping regulations and the international conventions on ship safety are sufficient to assure the safety in port areas of ships and other port users.
