To ask the Secretary of State for Transport how many senior civil servants left her Department and its public bodies in each month since May 2010; what their names are; what the rate of turnover of senior civil servants in her Department was during this period; and if she will make a statement.

Since May 2010 77 senior civil servants have left the central Department, its seven Executive agencies and its public bodies.
The average rate of turnover of senior civil servants in the central Department, its seven Executive agencies and its public bodies was 37.25% during this period.
The rate of turnover reflects the restructuring of the Department that took place for senior civil servants during 2010-11.
