To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government
(1) how the cost of a referendum on the adoption of a neighbourhood development plan under the Localism Act 2011 will be funded;
(2) what estimate he has made of the cost of the inspection of a neighbourhood development plan.

The Government have committed to providing up to £50 million until March 2015 to support local councils in making neighbourhood planning a success. This includes funding referendums of neighbourhood development plans.
