To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs what estimate has she made of the number of dogs imported to the UK in the last three years; and from which country each such dog came.

The following table details the number of dogs imported into the UK in the last three years.

The vast majority of pets entering the UK do so under the Pet Travel Scheme and belong to UK residents returning from trips abroad with their animals.
