To ask the Secretary of State for Health what steps he is taking to ensure that women with symptomatic fibroids have access to a range of treatments, including Uterine Artery Embolisation.
The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence published guidelines on Uterine Artery Embolisation for fibroids in November 2010. It is for the national health service to take account of the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence guidelines when determining treatment options.
